Franck de Villeneuve, French DJ & composer of electronic music since the early 90s, belongs to the first generation of DJs of the underground movement that oscillated into the raves of the south of France and north of Spain.
Franck de Villeneuve plays a powerful music at cool tempo, an actual clever mix with underground resonances, lively and sensible, that he can’t stop working during his sets, whatever they are performed with, vinyls, laptop, or tactile controlled as in his last audiovisual concept !
Franck de Villeneuve belongs to those searchers artists who have their own sound, their own groove, in all styles played, and that make the show wherever they are, whatever public they meet !

Born in the Swiss Alps in 74, early and deeply influenced by my older sister in new wave and musique concrète, my interest for weird and melancholic sounds have always been full part of my musical tastes.
Living the Alps for California during two years at the age of eighteen.
Then moved to Geneva in ´95, where the electronic music scene was merging from the undergrounds.
A year later, started to make intimate partys with a friend in an illegal bar, twice a week.
Raving some LFO, Studio 1, Autechre... The adventure ended 2 years after.
Then in 98, decided to go back to the peace of my mountains. Still tourmented by of all those twisted sounds, I decided to take the plunge within sonic sculpture... Bought a synth and started the Storlon project.
Storlon : main project

Infloria : dub influenced project

"Incapable de supporter la douleur de son amour perdu, qu'il ressentait dans chaque cellule de son corps, il substitua à ses os, à sa chair et à ses viscères du storlon, un métal flexible et invulnérable."

(La Caste des Méta-Barons - Jodorowsky & Gimenez)

Isotroph (Nicolas Couval) is a producer based in Dijon, France. After years of editorial activism in french leading webzines, hundreds of musical reviews, he decided to start writing his own music, using his extended experience as a listener and reviewer as a rock-solid base for what had to become the Isotroph entity. Back in 2008, he started to express his conception of deep electronic music which takes its roots in the berlin dub techno as well as UK’s deep dubstep scenes

Falko Kraus aka k.fog is one oft the most constant artists in Saxony/Germany. Besides the great label Raster.Noton he is an additional guarantor for ambitious electronic music from Chemnitz. On the dancefloor as well as at listening sessions quality and know how are what characterize him and make him unique. Grown up with the record collection of his father ( for example „tangerine dream“), inspired by Basic channel and Detroit techno he early started to produce own tracks and live sets. Today he is more than just a techno producer. Besides ambitious electronic sessions with complex equipment he is also engaged in sounddesign. His continuous drive – to give his visions expression – doesn´t allow any genre statement.

Maskine - Deep, dark dub going from the most chilled, soothing dub to the heaviest, ear-pounding Scandinavian explosion. The two forces behind Maskine are lovers of dub and all its subgenres and therefore do their best at combining these. Maskine has previously provided music for various animated short movies, and the cinematic feel has carried over to their dub music as well so be prepared for a mixture of cinematic ambient, dub, and a few heavy bassed surprises.

-Optic_ (Denmark)

Artist Name:
Optic, Burn You'll Fly
Real Name:
Martin Højer Frydkjær
Country:
Denmark
Activity:
 DJ / Live / Both
Nothing Yet, but working on some live sets :)
In music since:
2008
What your moniker means? Why this moniker?
Im not sure why i got this moniker, it was back in highschool, when i was trying to make some stuff, this name just popped up in my head, and that was it :)
Can you define your music and style?
Probably Dub Techno, with a twist of electronic. But at the moment Im trying to make more danceable music, with house influences.
How did you fall in music / How did you start?
I had a hard time trying to figure out how to make electronic music. First off I started playing guitar back in 2004, but most of the time I was pretty much just fooling around with delay and reverb pedals. Tried some dub with the guitar, but it didn't really fit what I was searching for.
What are your major influences?
I wouldn't say I have any major influences, but usually I get my inspiration from listening to other peoples music, and then being inspired by specific sound elements, I tend to work out from that.

Dear musicians,djs, producers and soundlovers..
As a child i always was fascinated by music. When i listened to music i had a special feeling, a good feeling. Music is a drug, probably the most healty drug in the world.
My parents always listened to classical music , so as i. With the age of 6 years I started playing Piano and Violin. I always trie to have some experiences of that kind in my songs.
With 15 years a friend of mine took me the first time in my whole life in a club in basel, named nordstern. Lucky me I that i had the identity card from an other friend to come in. My first impression was amazing, loud techno music, dancing the whole night, seeing all the people going crazy. A fascinating moment. And there a knew , i wanna be a DJ.But i started producing before playing vinyl. An ive been staying there since, and now i am playing live my own tracks.
I try to do my own genre, i dont care about if its: house, techno or dub.. the main thing is my music has the be a story, from beginn to the end.
And Im not specially a fan of commercial music. Special for these peoples who only sees making money
with music.
